Aisha Bhimla

Research Committee Co-Chair

Aisha Bhimla is an Assistant Professor at the Center for Asian Health in the Department of Urban Health and Population Science at Temple University Lewis Katz School of Medicine. Over the past decade, she has served as a co-investigator and research program manager on large-scale NIH/NCI/NIMHD- and HHS-funded studies that address health disparities among racially and ethnically minoritized populations. Her research applies epidemiologic methods to examine how social determinants of health, including neighborhood and built environment factors, are associated with chronic health conditions, and focuses on implementing community-based and culturally tailored behavioral interventions and health education programs in Asian American communities. She holds a PhD in Kinesiology from Temple University, an MPH from the University of South Florida, and a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from the University of Toronto.
