Raaya Alim, MPP

Advocacy Committee Co-Chair

Raaya Alim is a health policy professional and dedicated advocate with a track record for championing health equity, public health initiatives, and survivor-centric policies at both the state and federal levels. Currently serving as the Program Manager for Community Health & Prevention and Health Justice & Equity initiatives at Doctors for America, she manages federaland state campaigns, drives mobilization efforts, and orchestrates national advocacy opportunities for physicians across the country, while also supporting the Reproductive Health Coalition.

Her extensive policy background includes serving as a Senior Policy Associate for the National Women’s Health Network, where she advanced women’s health initiatives and being a member of the QuEAST Study Advisory Committee for the Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts. Raaya’s foundational advocacy is deeply rooted in social justice, systemic reform, and community empowerment. She has extensively collaborated with state legislators, campus administrators, and community organizations to combat sexual violence and served on the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Task Force on Sexual Misconduct Surveys. Her dedication to these causes earned her the prestigious M.V. Lee Badgett Social Justice Award.

Raaya holds a Master of Public Policy and dual bachelors degrees from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and is committed to leveraging her multidisciplinary skills to drive meaningful health equity and justice initiatives.
